A good instructor is able
to encourage and empathise with students, as well as being able to inspire
complete trust. Flexibility, and an ability and willingness to evaluate
how you teach are also important in keeping courses fun, fresh, educational,
enjoyable and safe. But what never ceases to amaze us about teaching
diving, is just how much we can all learn from others, be they experienced
divers or just starting out. We, as instructors, would like the opportunity
to bring our enthusiasm, inspiration, professionalism and dedication
to your scuba diving experiences and look forward to having the opportunity
to dive with you.

"Having been lucky enough to have dived
and photographed some of the best wrecks and reefs in the world
over the last decade, I can honestly say I still get the same
buzz and satisfaction every time I get into the swimming pool
to take a Discover Scuba try dive or teach a full diving course.
The thrill and enjoyment of seeing new divers using scuba for
the first time, always brings back the memory of my own excitement
and adventure of my initial try dive, many years ago.
I hope my enthusiasm and love of all aspects
of diving, be they teaching, diving for pleasure, or my great
love taking photographs, as well as my experience in all aspects
of diving, are the qualities that make me the diver and instructor
I am"

"In 1997 I was
fortunate enough to win a trip to the Maldives. My first thrill
from scuba diving was on this holiday. After such a wonderful
experience, I decided that diving was for me, I found an instructor
in Yorkshire and signed up for a course.
My instructor was such and inspiration to me
on my Open Water Course that I decided I wanted to become a Professional
Scuba Diving Instructor myself. Over the next two years with many
hundreds of dives, I worked my way through the ranks and achieved
my goal.
My aim with A&A is to inspire the same
excitement and inspiration in my students that my instructor inspired
in me. You may never want to become an instructor yourself, but
I promise you, you'll have a wonderful lifetime of underwater adventure”
