What
is Emergency First Response?
An Emergency First Response course
prepares you to properly handle potentially life and non life-threatening
situations by giving you the tools and confidence you need to
perform CPR and First Aid in an emergency accident or illness
situation. Oxygen Administration
is the principle First Response tool for dive-related injuries.
This additional course option teaches the techniques required
to provide emergency oxygen first aid. We are qualified to train
in DAN, EFR and EFR for children.

What will I do?
This comprehensive EFR program is composed of two
core modules. Each Module can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses:
Emergency First Response - Primary Care & Emergency First Response
- Secondary Care. Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving
is an additional course specifically aimed at Scuba Divers. These courses
proved extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid skills, as well as providing
hands on experience in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s)
and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
How long will it take?
The full course, comprising of both modules usually
takes 1 whole day, approx 8hrs. Emergency First Response is also very
flexible - you can learn background knowledge in your own time then
conduct the practical, hands-on training sessions with your qualified
Emergency First Response Instructor. On completion of the course you
will be issued with an Emergency First Response Certification Card.
A Refresher course is recommended every 24 months.
What
will I need?
Participant Pack, which includes manual, binder and first aid pack.
Optional is the Deluxe EFR Crew-Pack with Padded Binder and Mini First
Aid Kit.
Where can I go from here?
This course satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR
prerequisite and exceeds HSE standards.
