PADI Rescue Diver?
Rewarding and fun – that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver
Course.
This course will expand your knowledge and experience level.
Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety
and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it
is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
What Do I Need To Start?
You can enrol in the Rescue Diver Course as a Certified Open Water Diver
and Participate in the “Rescue Diver Knowledge Development”
and “Rescue Diver Confined Water Training Session” only,
whilst working on your Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
You can only complete the Rescue Diver Open Water Weekend once you have
completed your Advanced Open Water Diver Certification. 20 logged dives
are also needed for certification.
Minimum Age:
15 Years Old (12 years old PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
You also need to have a Sanctioned CPR & First Aid Certification
that meets PADI requirements within the last 24 months.
The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First
Aid) Courses meet these requirements.
EFR is available at A&A Dive Academy.
What Will I Do? Rescue
Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems, and If necessary,
manage dive emergencies. Over the course of an Open Water Weekend you
will cover:
- Self Rescue and Diver Stress
- AED and Emergency Oxygen Delivery Systems
- Dive First Aid
- Swimming and Non-Swimming Rescue Techniques
- Emergency Management and Equipment
- Panicked Diver Response
- Underwater Problems
- Missing Diver Procedures
- Surfacing the Unconscious Diver
- In-Water Rescue Breathing Protocols
- Exits
- First Aid Procedures for Pressure Related Accidents
- Dive Accident Scenarios
How Long Will It Take?
Recommended course hours: 20 (incl; Open Water, Self
Study & Confined Water)

PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Pack (Included in price)
To have viewed the PADI Rescue Diver Video or DVD (Classroom session
will be arranged) or copy given for self study.
Your Own Diving equipment (not included in price)

EFR Emergency First Response Course.
How Long?
This Course is actually two courses in one, CPR & First Aid. Both
courses can be completed in one-day approx 7-8hrs. Course will include
AED Certification.
