Discover Scuba Diving
Discover Scuba Diving is a fun way to try Scuba Diving
in a safe and relaxed environment, like our heated swimming pool. We sometimes
call it a Try Dive.
All you need to bring to the pool is your swimwear, an old T-shirt and
towel - we will provide all the other diving equipment you will need.
At the end of your session you will receive a certificate to mark the
start of your diving adventure.
How do I book on a Try Dive?
Try Dives are usually on Wednesdays from 6.00pm
to 8.00pm or Saturday mornings from 9.30am. We can also do them at a
time to suit you! Just give us a call. Group or Club bookings can easily
be catered for anytime.
Give us a ring and we'll book you in!

What will I do on my Try Dive?
You will be shown how to clear your ears, alter
your buoyancy, do summersaults, and swim upside down! We also play underwater
frisbee, and have torpedo games, You will also meet our shark!!! but
above all, you will have tremendous fun.
Who
will be taking my Try Dive?
Your dive briefing and underwater experience will
be conducted by our fully qualified PADI Instructors.
Your enjoyment and safety is our only concern.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No. To dive, you only need to be able to tread water
and swim a few lengths. You will not be asked to do this on your Try
Dive. It's about having some fun and trying something new.
What If I feel nervous on my Try Dive?
We can all feel slightly nervous the first time
we try something different, but those feelings will quickly disappear
once you start swimming around. We only take you at the pace you are
happy with, remember, we want your first time underwater to be a wonderful
and enjoyable experience.
How long will my Try Dive take?
You will have a full briefing about the equipment
you will be using, and the signals we use underwater to communicate.
You will be under water for at least one hour. The whole session will
take between 1½ and 2½ hrs.
Will this mean I can Scuba Dive
abroad?
No. Your Try Dive will give you a great feeling
of what Scuba Diving is all about. If you enjoy this experience then
you can decide to take a full, internationally recognised PADI course.
You will then be a qualified or "certified" diver, and can
dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18m.
Learning to dive does not take long. With Classroom Presentations, DVD's
and the latest Study Techniques, you can learn to dive in just 2 weekends.
